So a lot of new DS games have come out in the last month. Instead of listing each one separately I'm going to tell you where to go to get all the latest ROM,s

Head on over to http://ndsuniverse.com/ they are the first website to get the newest working ROM's. You will need a user name and password. Its FREE and it's totally worth it. They get all the newest ROM'S 1st. They do not use file share sites, it is a direct download from them.

I recommend using a supercard DSTWO. It has a new exclusive feature "iDS Anti-Piracy". Utilizing the CPU, DSTWO can emulate original cartridge and bypass any anti-piracy measures which is the first cartridge to do so. Most of the games will never need to be patched to run.

If you need help getting a game to work email me using the contact us page on our other website at https://sites.google.com/site/bestromsites/

Kirby Mass Attack working on Acekard 2i ak2i

Kirby Mass Atack working on acekard2i. The new loader works great. You just got to follow all the steps to achieve no white screens. FOR ACEKARD 2i MAKE SURE HAS AKAIO 1.8.8 AND THE NEW LOADER (DATE 9-27-2011) THEN PUT THE NEW LOADER INTO THE FOLDER LOADER, MAKE SURE THE AP IS TURN ON.
Here it is step by step.
After you update to 1.8.8 you will still show in the home screen 1.8.7. That is ok. Every ones does that. When you download the AK2/ak2i loader be sure the page loods exactally like the one above if the date is not 9/27/11 you computer is cashing an older page and you will get the wrong update. All you need to do is refresh the page to get the one in the picture. The link is here http://akaio.net/loaders/  . Then put the loader file in the _aio/loaders folder. Before you start the game scroll down to kirby mass attack and press the Y button, press Y for rom settings, scroll down to bypass antipiracy and click right to enable, click on A ok , and again A ok to save. A ok one more time and you ready to play Kirby Mass Attach without 2 white screeds :-)
If you have any problems leave a message as I will be monitoring this page all day.
If this doesnot work you did something wrong. leave me a message and I will try to help. If is works for you please leave a comment. Thanks.

Professor Layton's Last Specter Out in October

London Life mode revealed
There's something inexplicably thrilling about getting a new game, but how about getting two new games in one? We bet you're giddy already. The next announcement might just tip you over the edge: Professor Layton and the Last Specter is coming to North America on 17th October and contains a bonus game.
Layton's had bonus games before of course, but nothing on this scale. Unlocked from the start of the top hat professor's latest adventure is Professor Layton's London Life, a 100-hour long RPG that started life as a mobile game in Japan before being integrated into this fourth outing. In Japan you have to unlock it by completing the game: in North America, it's available from the very start.
We told you it was exciting.
Professor Layton and the Last Specter for the Nintendo DS family of systems is the fourth installment in the Professor Layton puzzle adventure series. It begins a new trilogy that is a prequel to the original games, set three years before the events in Professor Layton and the Curious Village™. The game contains more puzzles than any in the series to date. As a North American exclusive to the overall Professor Layton and the Last Specter package, a bonus role-playing game called Professor Layton’s London Life™ containing more than 100 hours of additional content will be available to players from the start of the game.

Check Your 3DS Ambassador Status Now, North America

Let's get to it: the  Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program tool for North America is now open and ready to assert if you're in the free games promotion or not.
Click the link above and enter your 3DS console's serial number to find out if you're enrolled. Some users have reported you need to leave off the final digit from your serial number for the tool to work, despite the instructions explicitly stating to include this number, so give it a go both ways if you're having any trouble.

Homebrew Minecraft on Nintendo DS available to download

Minecraft is getting around these days, with the ultra-popular PC edition now available on the Xperia Play and an Xbox 360 version on the way too.

How about a version on the Nintendo DS, then? Okay, so DScraft isn't an official version - it's a homebrew edition from a coder called Smealum.

But if you have the necessary tools to get it up and running this is well worth checking out. It features a version of the classic mode of Minecraft, with focus on building and digging, rather than throwing enemies and environmental changes your way.

However, the developer does plan to implement this eventually. You can download the latest build straight from his site.

go here to official web site and download link    http://smealum.net/dscraft/

These Square Enix DS Games are Discounted on Amazon Today

An assortment of very solid Square Enix games for the Nintendo DS are going from $5 to $15 off today on Amazon.com.

Because, honestly, how many copies of Chrono Trigger is too many copies? Our Supreme Overlords of Capitalism over at Amazon.com are currently discounting a few quality Square Enix titles for the Nintendo DS: Chrono Trigger (originally $19.99) is going for $14.99; The World Ends With You (also $19.99) is now $14.99; Kingdom Hearts: Re:coded (once $34.99) is being offered for $19.99; and Final Fantasy IV (again, $19.99) is being sold for $14.99.
So, you know, pick them up maybe, if you haven't played them already, and know that, with the exception of Kingdom Hearts: Re:coded, they're all still cheaper than the recently released iOS port of Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. Why don't you understand App Store economics, Square Enix?!

Nintendo to launch 'Flame Red' 3DS

Nintendo will offer up a new flavor of its 3DS next month.

Dubbed "Flame Red," the upcoming portable will come with the same design as its predecessor, but will boast a red and black body. Nintendo currently offers a "Cosmo Black" all-black option, as well as an "Aqua Blue" version, which comes with a blue and black body.
Nintendo's 3DS, which launched earlier this year, features two displays, and allows users to play games in 3D without the need for special glasses.
The game and console maker often uses color to help promote its hardware. Last year, it offered a "Mario Red" version of its Wii platform to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. The company also offers a range of colors for its portable.

But whether a new color on the 3DS will help the portable's sales remains to be seen. Last month, Nintendo released its fiscal first-quarter earnings, revealing that it had sold just 710,000 3DS units worldwide during the period ended June 30. In the U.S., it sold only 110,000 units.
To help jump-start demand, Nintendo said that it would drop the price of the 3DS to $169.99 from its original $249.99 price tag, starting on August 12. The device has also been discounted with similarly steep cuts worldwide.
Aside from new colors, Nintendo is also hoping that its upcoming software launches will make consumers want to buy the 3DS. Nintendo plans to launch Star Fox 64 3D, a remake of the Nintendo 64 classic, on September 9. That game will be followed by the launch of Super Mario 3D Land in November and Mario Kart 7 in December.
Nintendo's Flame Red 3DS will launch the same day as Star Fox 64 3D--September 9--and retail for $169.99

Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva out in America on November 8

Viz Media has officially dated the North American DVD release of Level-5’s Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva film; it’ll be out November 8. Here’s the synopsis:
“Professor Layton, true English gentleman and the world’s greatest amateur super sleuth, embarks on his most daring adventure yet when he receives a letter from his old student, the famous opera diva Janice Quatlane. She is to perform at the legendary Crown Petone Opera House and invites him to attend as her special guest.
Meanwhile, a spate of disappearances hits London. Two young school girls are the latest victims, and the Professor suspects it’s related to the mysterious occurrences at the theatre. The Professor and his loyal assistant Luke travel to the Opera House to solve their toughest puzzle yet, the mystery of Eternal Life!”
This was announced on Level-5 IA’s website. Is the U.S. branch of Level-5 involved with this, or just announcing something having to do with one of the company’s properties? Maybe working on the licensing stuff for this DVD is the first project out of the Santa Monica office.

3DS Ambassador Titles Earn You Club Nintendo Coins Too

Just keeps getting better
We continue to update our 3DS Ambassador and free eShop games FAQ but in case you missed it, the latest update is that Club Nintendo members in North America will be able to earn coins from the free Virtual Console games.
Nintendo confirmed that anyone who links their 3DS eShop account and Club Nintendo account will be eligible to earn coins from all 20 of the free games. Talk about something for nothing.
Remember: you must register your 3DS on the eShop before midnight on 11th August to enter the Ambassador programme. Check out our 3DS Ambassador scheme FAQ for more information.

Some Walmarts Offering 3DS Price Cut Early

We ran a rumor late last week that suggested Walmarts around the United States were prepping to drop the upcoming price cut for the Nintendo 3DS earlier than Nintendo announced. The cut from $250 to $170 is supposed to happen on August 12th, Walmart, according to this rumor, was going to drop the price of the system today, August 9th.
The big deal in this news comes from the Ambassador program, Nintendo’s apology and consolation prize to consumers that picked up the Nintendo 3DS at its previous launch price. If you own a 3DS before August 12th, the day of the cut, and you log onto the eShop at least once, you’ll automatically become a Nintendo 3DS Ambassador. Being an Ambassador earns you 20 free games to be released in the near future, 10 of which will never be released to other 3DS owners.
So, the skinny with this Walmart rumor was that folks could buy the Nintendo 3DS at the $170 price point while reaping the rewards of having purchased the device for $250. For those that have even been remotely on the fence about the Nintendo 3DS since its launch, not going into Walmart and taking advantage of this supposed deal would have been downright foolish.
And that’s where our own Sean Aune steps in. Sean, the Editor-in-Chief for TechnoBuffalo, has been calling and going to several Walmarts in his region early this morning in order to verify or falsify the rumored early price drop. I did the online hunting for him; and, no, Walmart.com is not offering the system at $170 yet.
After trying a bunch of stores, Sean called one Walmart a few towns over from his home. The shop in Moberly, MO, 45 miles away from our now tired EIC, received Sean’s call and immediately went to the computer to check if the new price had taken effect. While on the phone, the store’s employee informed Sean that they had literally just received an email from corporate regarding the price drop. The employee informed Sean that the price drop has come early.
Our EIC went directly to his local Walmart after vowing to me that he’d make them change their price. I wished him luck, he’s probably off somewhere playing Ocarina of Time 3D.
Go to Walmart! Check their price drop status for yourselves. Whether you succeed or fail, let us know in the comments below!
Good luck.

Lest We Forget: The Noble Nintendo DS Lite

With all the talk of the 3DS and its rapid price drop, it’s easy to forget that Nintendo’s previous handheld, the DS, is still a viable option for portable gaming. Though not as sexy as your iPhone or as powerful as its new little brother, the DS line offers many genuinely engaging gaming experiences. Moreover, its own June price drop put the DS Lite at $99.99, making it an attractive option for additional on-the-go entertainment.

Along with this price drop Nintendo also elected to rerelease six first-party titles featuring ever-popular company mascot Mario. Super Mario 64 DS, a launch title that shrunk down the Nintendo 64 classic, still holds up well some seven years after its portable makeover.

More recent fare like 2009’s Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story — the third entry in the Mario & Luigi RPG series — and last year’s Lemmings-esque Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!, also a sequel, are odd but welcome additions to the lineup. Multiplayer board game-minigame collection Mario Party DS serves as a nice introduction to its own franchise, but all four pale in comparison to true standouts, Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros.

Offering exquisite single player experiences accessible across multiple skill levels, these are fine examples of Nintendo’s mastery of portable game design. And thanks to the multiple DS and 3DS systems in our household, my family has rediscovered the joys of both games’ frantic multiplayer modes.

Nintendo Won't Keep Miis Cooped Up in the Plaza

More 3DS software coming
Seeing all those Mii characters shuffling about in the 3DS Mii Plaza with little to do might be a little disheartening to watch, which is why impending first-party software that will utilise players' Miis will be good news for many.
At the financial results briefing for the first quarter of this fiscal year, an investor noted that they had almost 300 Miis "stored like captives" in their StreetPass Mii Plaza with little to do, and asked Nintendo president Satoru Iwata whether the company had any plans to release software that will make use of these Mii characters and be able to form some sort of connection with other users. Iwata replied:
As we hear that a fairly good number of people have already done everything we offered with StreetPass Mii Plaza, we are preparing for something new that you can enjoy there in the near future. We are planning to make it available by the end of this calendar year.
Nintendo will bring a number of software titles to 3DS users that will utilise accumulated Miis, and using these Miis as a theme, future software will be able to establish a level of synergy with the StreetPass Mii Plaza:

Your 25 Years of Metroid Memories

Charge your beaming smiles
Today is the 25th anniversary of Metroid and we want to know your favourite Metroid moments.
Do you remember the first time you faced off against Ridley? Touching down on Tallon IV for the first time in Metroid Prime?
Whatever your favourite moments and memories of Metroid, we want to know. Leave them in a comment below and stick with us for plenty more Metroid 25th anniversary celebrations.

letter from Satoru Iwata to 3DS fans below

To Those Customers Who Bought A Nintendo 3DS Before The Price Change
Greetings, everyone. This is Satoru Iwata from Nintendo.
Thank you very much for purchasing a Nintendo 3DS.
We have just announced a price drop for the Nintendo 3DS system effective on August 11 [August 12 in North America].
In the past, there have been price drops for video game systems some time after their release in order to broaden the user base further. However, never before has Nintendo chosen to issue such a dramatic price drop less than 6 months after a system release.
We are all too keenly aware that those of you who supported us by purchasing the 3DS in the beginning may feel betrayed and criticize this decision.
This unprecedented timing for a price cut is because the situation has changed greatly since we originally launched the 3DS. We decided it was necessary to take this drastic step in order to ensure that large numbers of users will continue to enjoy the 3DS in the future.
If the software creators and those on the retail side are not confident that the Nintendo 3DS is a worthy successor to the DS and will achieve a similarly broad (user) base, it will be impossible for the 3DS to gain popularity, acquire a wide range of software, and eventually create the product cycle necessary for everyone to be satisfied with the system.
Those customers who purchased the 3DS at the very beginning are extremely important to us. We know that there is nothing we can do to completely make up for the feeling that you are being punished for buying the system early. Still, we would like to offer the following as a sign of our appreciation to you.
[3DS Ambassador program details]
We feel a strong responsibility to develop the 3DS as a platform -- to ensure that, in the end, everyone is satisfied; we will make every effort to do so.
Additionally, we know everyone is waiting for Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7. They are scheduled for release in November and December, respectively, so we ask for your patience until then.
Thank you again, and we look forward to your continued support.

Nintendo apologizes to early adopters for 3DS price cut

Nintendo chief Satoru Iwata has apologized to early adopters of his company's 3DS portable for dropping its price so soon after launch.
"In the past, there have been price drops for video game systems some time after their release in order to broaden the user base further," Iwata wrote in a letter posted to his company's Web site and translated  by Giant Bomb. "However, never before has Nintendo chosen to issue such a dramatic price drop less than 6 months after a system release."
According to Iwata, the price drop was due to the company's desire to reassure "software creators and those on the retail side that are not confident that the Nintendo 3DS is a worthy successor to the DS and will achieve a similarly broad user base."
Last week, Nintendo announced that it would drop the price of its 3DS worldwide. In the U.S., consumers will find the portable, which allows users to play games in 3D without the need for special glasses, on sale for $169.99 starting on August 12. The 3DS launched with a price tag of $249.99.

News: Iwata: We Will Do Paid Download Content for Wii U and 3DS

But no word on what

Extra downloadable content is a fertile field for developers, allowing them to extend the appeal of their game long after it's left the charts. While some Wii games allowed for paid DLC under the system's "Pay and Play" feature, it was never really a big focus for the console, something Nintendo president Satoru Iwata is keen to change with the company's new machines.
During a recent investors Q&A translated by Andriasang, Iwata spoke of both 3DS and Wii U getting paid DLC in the future, with the service available to 3DS developers by the end of the year. That doesn't necessarily mean we'll see downloadable add-ons to purchase this year, though.
Nintendo's not quite sure how it's going to use this service for itself: Iwata and right-hand man Shigeru Miyamoto are interested in adding on extra stages and new features, but aren't so keen on paying to unlock content already on the disc, statistic increases and so on. Iwata feels that these kinds of downloads would not allow Nintendo to "build a long term relationship with customers", something on the forefront of the company's collective mind considering the 3DS's fortunes of late.
Will we see new quests in future Zelda games or extra stages to prolong Mario's adventures? Only time will tell.

Rumour: Kirby's Amazing Mirror for 3DS GBA Virtual Console

You never know
The list of confirmed Game Boy Advance games for the 3DS Ambassador scheme so far contains five classic titles:
  • Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3
  • Mario Kart: Super Circuit
  • Metroid Fusion
  • Mario vs. Donkey Kong
  • WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$
Now we're hearing rumours of two more titles to be added to the line-up: Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Super Mario Bros. 3: Super Mario Advance 4, according to a Nintendo customer service representative. While we've not heard anything else about Kirby, Super Mario Bros. 3 has also been mentioned by Official Nintendo Magazine, which would seemingly confirm the classic adventure is coming to 3DS.
It's worth taking this with a pinch of salt as always, but would you be happy with Kirby's incredible reflective surface on 3DS?

Nintendo: Digital Item Transactions Coming To 3DS, Wii U

Aug. 1, 2011
Nintendo is preparing to bring a paid item transaction system to both its 3DS and Wii U consoles, as a means of allowing developers to extend the life of their releases.

Talking as part of a earnings briefing in Tokyo, and as translated by Andriasang, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata revealed that the new initiative will be available to 3DS developers later this year.

Iwata noted, however, that Nintendo itself will be selective when it comes to providing DLC for its own releases.

He said that the company is interested in providing extra stages and features to its games, but wants to steer away from smaller enhancements such as in-game stat increases for its own games.

The Nintendo boss also mentioned the free-to-play model, again stating that he believes such a system would damage the value of the Nintendo 3DS. He had previously said that Nintendo has "no intention" of implementing the model.

Discussing the StreetPass Mii Plaza, Iwata admittted that, as of yet, there wasn't much to do with this particular feature of the console.

He promised that 3DS will see new features added before the end of the year, while more retail games will make use of the Mii characters.

Overall, Iwata noted that Nintendo is looking to increase its digital presence over the next few years, and wants to establish its online stores as another successful pillar in the company.

How to collect your 20 free 3DS games

You need to sign on to the eShop with your 3DS before the Aug. 12 price drop kicks in. No Internet? Sorry, you may be out of luck. Once you do, or if you already have, then your system is signed up for the program. I say your system, because the program is tied to the device, not the user. If you were, for instance, to have registered the 3DS and then sold it, you've also essentially sold those 20 free games to whoever buys that system from you.

Now about those games. The release says that those free games will include 10 NES Virtual Console titles, which will later go on sale, and 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games, which won't.

Here is Nintendos official web address to access information about the Ambassador program and free eshop games.     http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2011/07/faq_nintendo_ambassador_program_and_free_eshop_games

curent 3DS owners get 20 free games

So I found this article this morning reguarding the 3DS price drop.
The Nintendo 3DS is dropping $80 – from $249 to $169 – on August 12 in preparation for the launch of the console’s E3 A-List titles including Kid Icarus. This cut is also, presumably, in reaction to slow initial sales of the 3D console.
Current owners of the console will receive ten free NES games along with ten free Game Boy Advance titles on September 1st (provided they’ve logged into the Nintendo eShop before August 12.

3DS Price Drop

So I was checking out the DS news today and I came across this article today.

Nintendo Stumbles With 3DS: If you were one of the (relatively few) people who bought a Nintendo 3Ds in the first months after its ballyhooed release, you might be upset to learn that you could have paid much less if you had just waited a few months.

Faced with unexpectedly low sales, Nintendo slashed the price of the handheld device to $170, from $250. Nintendo also cut its profit forecast for the year by a whopping 80%. Investors, understandably, are alarmed.

The Wall Street Journal’s Nick Wingfield says Nintendo’s troubles stem from Apple’s successes. The rise in smartphones and tablets means more people are buying Angry Birds for $1 or so than spending money on Nintendo’s more expensive games.

So I immediately checked on Amazon and you can purchase the 3DS for 169.99 there.
Bummer for me because I purchased 1for me and 1 for my son on the release date.

Welcome

Hello from Phoenix, Arizona. My name is Suzy. I have been intrigued by video games since I was in my mid-twenties when the original Gameboy came out. I immediately was hooked on Tetris, and twenty years later I am still hooked by video games. I have a Wii, Game Boy Advance SP, Nintendo NES, a Nintendo 64, DSi, 3DS, a house full of games and ROM cards (for backup purposes only).

My husband and 14-year-old son are almost as addicted to games as I am. It’s actually an activity that the family can share.

I have spent hours and hours on the internet surfing for information and news blogs regarding the DS and the 3DS. I want to be the first to know release dates for the new games. I am eager to learn opinions from those who play the games.

That is what my blog is about. I want to know what game systems do you own? What are your favorite games? Why are they your favorites? I want you to post on this blog… let me know your secrets to winning games. Let’s all share our information and become the gamers we dream of being.

Let me know what subject you would like to have a forum about. I’m looking forward to hearing from gamers all over the world!
